New yarns, new textures, and a blanket we can’t stop working on

There’s something a little magical about this season at Fluffmade right now.

What started with a single yarn collection – Winter Quartz – has grown into shelves of carefully chosen fibres, new colour stories, and ideas scribbled down faster than we can keep up with them. And honestly? We’re loving every second of it.

This month feels like a turning point for us. Not just because spring finally decided to stick around, and definitely not in a loud, dramatic way; in the soft kind of way that handmade businesses often grow: one skein, one stitch, one order, and one late-night idea at a time.

The Winter Quartz Sampler Blanket

The biggest thing on our hooks right now is our brand-new Winter Quartz Sampler Blanket – and we’re genuinely obsessed.

Built with simple moss stitch stripes and gradual colour transitions, it’s become the ultimate “just one more row” project. Each stripe uses a full ball of Winter Quartz, allowing the yarn itself to create the movement, texture, and colour play.

No complicated stitchwork.
No sewing pieces together.
Just rhythm, texture, and colour unfolding row by row.

And watching the colours meet each other has been half the fun.

The blanket has also become something bigger than we expected: a showcase of what Winter Quartz can really do when given room to breathe. Every colourway behaves differently, and together they create this soft, painterly effect that feels both cosy and artistic at the same time.

It’s the first official Fluffmade pattern we’re developing – which feels both exciting and slightly surreal.

Meet the Glimmer Series ✨

We also welcomed an entirely new collection into Fluffmade this month: the Glimmer Series.

And this yarn is special.

Soft merino fibres paired with delicate metallic sparkle create a yarn that catches the light without overwhelming the project. It’s elegant, understated, and somehow manages to feel both cosy and luxurious at the same time.

We wanted something that felt magical without becoming novelty yarn – and Glimmer Series immediately felt like exactly that.

The sparkle is woven gently through the strand, creating a subtle shimmer effect that works beautifully for shawls, garments, accessories, and statement details.

It’s the kind of yarn that makes you stop and stare at your project in different lighting.

And if we’re telling the truth (and we are)… we already have plans for more colours.

Peaks & Prairie Continues to Grow 🌾

Our Peaks & Prairie collection has also continued expanding, with 23 earthy, floral-inspired colourways drawn from prairie landscapes, mountain light, wildflowers, and soft natural textures.

This collection has quickly become one of the most creatively fulfilling things we’ve worked on because every colour feels like telling a little story.

Some are muted and grounding.
Some are vibrant and playful.
Some surprise us completely once they’re worked up.

And seeing customers connect emotionally to the colours we’ve named and curated means the world to us.
